YOUTH HOCKEY INFORMATION

Roskill-Eden's youth teams cater for all players who are 16 or younger at the 1st of January. All experience levels are welcome.

​

Auckland Hockey has changed the playing day to Sundays.

​

If you have any further questions, please email our youth coordinator on roskilledenhockeyyouth@gmail.com and they will get back to you as soon as possible.

Training for all youth girls teams are on Wednesday evenings 6-7pm, and training for the youth boys teams are on Thursday evenings 6-7pm.

 

All trainings are at the Mount Roskill Grammar School hockey turf.

Please arrive 15mins before and bring a white and dark top.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

When registering to play hockey for Roskill-Eden Hockey Club you are agreeing to all the player terms & conditions outlined in the below document and to pay the relative membership fees charged by the club.

 REHC Player Terms & Conditions

The club is a not-for profit organisation and memberships are critical to the on-going survival of the club. The membership fees that we request help to cover the following costs:

  • Auckland Hockey Association affiliation fees (90% of fees)

  • Turf hire for practices

  • Uniforms

  • Playing and training gear

 

Membership Fees are outlined below:

  • Membership fees must be paid in full by the first game of the season.

  • No Pay, No Play!

  • Fees are inclusive of GST.

Concessions (applicable if fees are paid, or automatic payment is set up, by TBC)

  • Goalkeepers that provide their own gear are entitled to a $100 for Youth.

  • Players that coach another Roskill-Eden team (Seniors, Youth or Junior) may be entitled to a discount. This is to be refunded at the end of the season providing coaches have attended 80% of trainings and games throughout the season.

  • Hardship grants are available at the discretion of the executive committee. Contact Annita Patel before 1 July for details.

GEAR REQUIRED

All players must wear a mouth guard and shin pads to all trainings and games. Without these they will not be allowed to play.

​

Team shirts are provided for all youths. These are distributed prior to the first game and collected in at the last game of the season. All players must buy their own Roskill socks (plain gold), navy blue shorts/skirt, hockey stick, shin pads, mouth guard and sport shoes.

JUMP PROGRAMME

The Auckland Hockey JUMP (Junior Umpires Mentoring Programme) is a training programme to mentor up and coming umpires. This programme is open to all Youth players.
